Use native Appearance for basic colors
The desktop client already owns ordinary color, typography and product behavior. Keeping that layer native is the most stable starting point for everyday reading.

Published .cctheme packages are finished and versioned. You do not need to recreate a screenshot, tune a prompt repeatedly or spend additional generation tokens.

Verify the target before you apply
Import the package into CC Theme and select only a detected client covered by exact compatibility evidence.

Restore the original appearance after an update
A newer client build is a new compatibility event. Pause the Adapter and return to the native state until that exact build is verified.

ChatGPT Desktop theme questions
Is Codex a separate supported desktop client?
The current target is ChatGPT Desktop for Mac, including Codex mode. The historical Adapter ID remains mac-codex, and older Codex search terms are retained only as migration language.
Can ChatGPT Desktop use a custom image or video background?
CC Theme provides published packages with prepared image or muted video backgrounds for the verified Adapter path. Native Appearance still owns basic colors and fonts.
Does CC Theme redesign the ChatGPT interface?
No. It changes an allowlisted visual layer and does not promise to replace the client layout, controls or behavior.
How do I apply a theme?
Download CC Theme and a versioned .cctheme package, import and validate the package, select a verified detected ChatGPT Desktop client, then choose Apply.
