WorkBuddy themes on Mac: packages, skills or scripts?

Compare the workflow, not just the screenshot

Packages, skills and scripts can overlap: a skill may install an existing package, and an installer may run scripts. Compare the actual steps and files provided by each project rather than assuming every alternative generates a theme.

• Prepared package: inspect a versioned file and reuse its declared assets.
• Creation skill: review the generated result; costs and repeatability depend on the tool and model.
• Script or installer: check its source, supported client version, persistence and removal instructions.

What CC Theme provides for WorkBuddy

CC Theme distributes existing .cctheme packages with full previews and checksums. Applying a published package does not generate artwork or consume AI generation tokens. Compatibility remains specific to the recorded client build and each theme; the published WorkBuddy evidence currently lists 5.2.6, not every newer version.

Before applying a WorkBuddy skin on Mac

Open the client-specific catalog, compare the complete workspace preview and check the compatibility page against the version installed on your Mac. Import the published package into CC Theme and allow validation to finish. Apply only when your detected client and package are covered by the published evidence.

• Inspect chat, code blocks, input fields and dark-mode text.
• Choose a quiet image when motion distracts you.
• Keep the original package and its checksum for reproducible sharing.

Restore before troubleshooting an update

If the theme becomes unreadable or the client updates to an unverified version, pause CC Theme and restore native appearance. Record the client build, theme version and failing surface. Do not stack a second skin tool on top of the first while diagnosing; use each tool's documented stop or removal procedure.
